Fluff
Fluff is Susan's familiar, a fey spirit he has summoned and bonded to himself. She cannot die (at least in the usual way), and simply ceases to have a physical form if 'killed'. Susan can resummon her after that, or at any other time just because he wants to, to change her into the form of another animal.
Fluff doesn't have any magic of her own, but Susan can:
*look through her eyes and listen through her ears instead of his own
*telepathically communicate with her
*cast spells that require touch and have Fluff activate them instead of himself
These things only work if Susan is within 100' of Fluff.
Given Fluff's name, she is obviously very fluffy! Although usually she prefers to be in cat form, she will take other forms if Susan wants or needs her to - but all of them are generally pretty fluffy versions of whatever animal she's in. Both Susan and Fluff like it this way.
Cat (norweigan forest cat)
Hawk (american kestrel)
Owl (northern saw whet owl)
Bat (honduran white bat)
Seahorse (pygmy seahorse)
