DESCRIPTION: Susan likes to answer so he can talk to people... When he remembers this weird technological thing exists, and hasn't accidentally left it in his trailer, or some other weird place.
[Steven's been making seashell jewelry with the merfolk, and so naturally he's decided to share the wealth with his treasured friends. He'll either give it to you in person or via your mailbox. If in person, he'll pretty much just swim up to you and be like "Here! This is for you! I made it!" and if you get it in the mailbox it will have a note with it that basically says the same thing, plus a small doodle of a heart-shaped fish.
Steven has made Susan a seashell necklace. (It matched Lauren's!!) It will be gifted sometime during the off week.]
[ Midway through moon time, Strange leaves a wrapped present in Susan's mailbox. There's a card taped to the front. The present itself is a book, with a dumb name like Time Wizard. The book as a whole is kind of silly, but it's the sort of dumb silly that a preteen boy might appreciate (and it's closer to a preteen middle grade reading level as well!).
The card's in cursive, so let's hope Susan knows how to read cursive. It says: ]
Happy holidays, Susan! I hope you enjoy the book. The person who sold it to me said that it was one of his favorites when he was around your age. Yours, Jonathan Strange.
[Guess what Susan, you're getting a present from Rita. Why? Because you don't know what science is, and that's terrible. So one of these days during the vacation, he'll receive a rectangular bundle with a note written on paper torn from a notebook:]
Susan,
Got this for you. I know you don't study much, but if you feel like starting, use this.
-Rita Mordio
[In the bundle is a book titled Simply Amazing Science, which upon inspection appears to be a kids' book (aimed at ~10 year olds) that describes the fundamentals of science in simple language, with lots of colorful illustrations and instructions for science-related activities kids can try at home.]
[She just wants you to learn something, pipsqueak. Enjoy (or don't).]
[On B18, Susan will find a fancy looking gift box in his trailer with a note left on top. The handwriting is done in an over the top cursive that he might recognize as the Ringmaster's, written on aged papyrus with the ink seemingly made of shining gold.]
"Susan-
To a better year.
The Ringmaster❧"
[Her signature is so massive and florid that it fills up the rest of the paper. When he opens the box, he'll find a small mechanical bird inside of it. It seems to be entirely self running, and has enough intelligence to respond to his commands. It can be played with like a toy, and doesn't require feeding.]
[Carefully bound together is a small stack of papers. When he goes through them, since they are waiting at his trailer and addressed to them, Susan will find that they're absolutely FULL of bar and sailor songs. Every single one Joker could remember.]
[Predictably, a lot of them are absolutely crude.]
[A joker playing card is attached to them, with something written on it.]
Don't tell your brother where you learned these from. It sure wasn't me! c:
[At some point in the evening, or maybe the morning, or even later than that, either Susan or his brother will find a pair of bundles awkwardly put together in plastic to keep them dry in the snow. Each one has a magically painted card whose image seems to move slightly on top, along with a message at the back of said card-with Susan's being the following.]
I don't know if it was your idea or not, but even though I wasn't thinking about things properly, I was happy someone tried to help... ...I thought, maybe though, you would like cookies too!! Also, I painted a card-this one is Cherubsprout! Even though they're small, they can help bring a lot of others from the graveyard, and even call a friend from the deck! - Reira
[And inside a small bundle...Cookies!! Nicely baked, delicious tasting, and sort of suspicious to look at because she's just started out.]
[Left under Susan's door is a painted card. The card smells of pine needles, snow and a fireplace, and features Papyrus, waving enthusiastically ahead. Somehow there's boneprint snowflakes faintly falling against the pale background. Along the header and footer, the card reads:]
HAPPY GYFTMAS (ON THE MOON) FROM PAPYRUS!!!
[Inside, a personal message continues:]
HI SUSAN! I HOPE YOU'RE HAVING SOME EXCITING MOON ADVENTURES! THERE'S PLENTY TO BE HAD, ESPECIALLY IF YOU LIKE THINGS LIKE... WALKING IN SNOW, BUILDING WITH SNOW, THROWING SNOW. THERE'S SNOW END OF FUN TO BE HAD. AND! IF I HAVE EXTRA MONEY AFTER ALL MY GIFT BUYING! I'LL GET MORE BOOKS FOR READING. THEY PROBABLY WON'T BE ABOUT SNOWY MOON ADVENTURES. BUT, I COULD TELL THOSE FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE ANYWAY. WHO NEEDS THE BOOK! NOT ME.
[A simple gift from Steven has been left! It's a paper star with "HAPPY SOLSTICE SUSAN!" written in his best attempt at penmanship, with "FROM STEVEN" written on the back side. Inside the star, there are candies of various kinds.]
